"RAMSEY PAYS IT FORWARD"

Many vendors from the Ramsey Farmers' Market will participate in Ramsey's Paying it Forward Program at the weekly market. Each Sunday, produce and product will be donated by participating vendors to the Center for Food Action, our local non-profit food pantry, for distribution to those in need. Almost one-half of the Center for Food Action's clients are children and 12% are seniors.

Paying it Forward is a simple but profound concept. Those who are fortunate donate to those in need. It may be that just by the gesture of lending a helping hand, at some point, the recipient may be able to help another. And so it goes and grows. It is hoped that members of the community will join us in the Paying it Forward Program and bring along non-perishable items as part of their regular Sunday market visit. For a list of suggested items go to www.cfanj.org.

The Ramsey Historical Association, sponsors of the Ramsey Farmers Market, will have a collection bin for donations to the Center for Food Action every Sunday during the market's season.
